Paul's Story

The impact of the Baltimore Station is felt by everyone who walks in the door. Camera Crews included. From the moment we stepped in, we were welcomed with open arms. Greeted by staff and residents alike.

We were there to film the Art With a Heart program. While waiting for it to begin, I began chatting with one of the residents, Paul. He told me about his service in the military and how he used to travel all over, but is originally from the Eastern Shore, where his family still resides. He says he ended up at Baltimore Station after getting mixed up with some “bad people”.

He had been at Baltimore Station nearly two years, and said he was ready to start out on his own again. Moving back to the Eastern Shore near his kids and grandkids. Ready to rejoin his family and his life. He acknowledged by focusing on them and avoiding his old ways and his old crowd, he can continue living the good life.  And that’s what Baltimore Station is all about.
