Preparing for MedStar Sports Medicine Forum Webcast

On Monday, April 8th from 7 pm to 8 pm, I am co-producing (with my partner Bernie Eisenberg) a live, interactive webcast for MedStar Health.  There will be a panel of five physicians, one from each of the MedStar hospitals (MedStar Union Memorial Hospital, MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital, MedStar Harbor Hospital, and MedStar Franklin Medical Center).

Moderated by WBAL-TV sports anchor Pete Gilbert, the doctors will discuss the latest research and thinking on the highly current topics “Sports Injuries” and “Sports Medicine.”  Particular areas of concern for parents of youth athletes, concussions and overuse injuries, will be covered in detail.

A live audience of local athletic coaches and trainers will be in attendance.  And an on-line audience of interested viewers will be watching via any type of web-enabled device (computer, ipad, smart phone etc…).   This is going to be a highly technical broadcast featuring four hi-def cameras that will have the look and feel of a network telecast.

And it’s going to be interactive!  On-line viewers will be able to present questions via a customized chatroom or through Facebook and Twitter.
